I am a Consultant Psychiatrist working both in the NHS and privately in the Coventry and Warwickshire region. My private practice clinics are held at Rother House Medical Centre, Stratford-upon-Avon. I also offer video consultations. I am experienced in the assessment and treatment of people over the age of 18 with mental health problems, including for depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, bipolar affective disorder and dementia. In particular I have experience in the assessment and treatment of older people with mental health problems. I also have significant experience in the legal assessment of capacity. I am able to accept referrals for anyone over the age of 18 who has mental health problems unless the issue relates to a mental health problem from childhood. I am therefore unable to accept referrals for autism spectrum disorder or ADHD. In addition I accept referrals for capacity assessments, for example Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection assessments. I am recognised by most of the major healthcare insurers including BUPA and AXA Health (please refer to Referral Procedure for more details). Please note I offer a clinic-based service but not inpatient services. Therefore if you believe that you require admission to hospital please discuss this with your GP or insurer who can recommend suitable hospitals.
